Annual Exams

Annual exams a lot of times are one of those areas that a lot of patients feel like they don’t want to do or they try to put too much into. An annual exam to me means I need to look at you and see where you’re at right now.  Not only physically, but I like to look at the things that you’re doing that are supporting your health. Are you sleeping well, are you eating well, how is life going, and try to address stuff before it affects your health. So often at annual exams it’s just looked at as doing a simple fast appointment that we are told is required each year. We want to use this as a time to catch symptoms before a diagnosis and find what direction are you heading. I like to look at annual exams as a very important part of maintaining health and doing as much preventive health or teaching as possible during a visit. Let us know if you find that you want more preventive information.
