Primary Healthcare

As a primary health care provider, I am one of those people that you go to for most of your generalized healthcare concerns. From there, I may send you off to a specialist. My Approach is a little bit different because I’ve been in specialty for a long time. A lot of times I work as a primary care women’s specialist. I have spent a lot of time understanding not only gynecological issues that women have, but a lot of the issues that are just universal to women, and specialize in a unique approach towards them specifically. Because of my approach with women and learning about hormones, I also see men. I see clients from age 12 and older, and occasionally some younger ones depending on what the concerns are. It’s important to have a provider like myself that can stay up-to-date and educated with the people that I see. The areas that I don’t feel comfortable with, I will tell you and may ask you to see a specialist or actually even sometimes a different primary care provider. It is important to know what our strengths are and I am very comfortable with saying I’m good with this, I know it, some areas I can say I can learn it, other areas I’ve done it for years. It’s important to work with a provider that knows what they do all the time and that you feel comfortable with. As a primary care provider, I feel like it’s important to stay really up to date and on the cutting edge of all the new things that are available. Some of the other age groups and problems that I don’t see as much, I may suggest that you find a provider that may be better educated in those areas.
