HPA Axis Regulation
HPA axis dysfunction is where the system between the hippocampus, the pituitary and adrenal system is not working correctly. If you’ve been like me and wake up at 3:00 in the morning and you can’t fall asleep for two hours and then when you can fall asleep again, it’s time to get up. That’s a sign that you have HPA axis dysfunction. There are ways to support it with both lifestyle and with supplements. It is often not treated well with medications though.
