Premarital exams can be very important for some women. Some women really probably don’t need them and they’re not required by law in this state. But for other women they are really important to just get basic information about sexuality, about their body, and about how things are going to work. I have had some women that are not sexually active before they get married or they have problems anatomically that are going to lead to huge problems when it comes to having intercourse. During a premarital exam I love to be able to educate and what is surprising is most of our younger generation right now it’s being educated on sexuality through what’s being written online and unfortunately we’re not talking about more normal healthy sexual development and relationships. I feel like this is a really important topic to discuss and keeping people safe and keeping people aware of bladder infections, how to prevent them, how important lubrication is to prevent injury, and what is a normal sexual response. There are so many questions and if we’re not talking to somebody who’s really educated, we may get misinformed. Sometimes we’re getting our information from sources that are not well educated. Please feel free to come in and ask me questions. If you have specific needs, let me know and instead of going to just random friends and expecting to have good knowledge and information given to you, come in and let’s talk.
